“Reality Redesigned” is a design contest/reality show presented by “.” Students and bike enthusiasts submit designs for original mountain bike components they’d like to see manufactured. Judges involved in various aspects of design, prototyping and production will evaluate these submissions. “Edge Factor” host Jeremy Bout is now meeting with each of the judges, and in the course of doing this, he is essentially touring the process by which an idea moves from conception through to production. Here is the first stop in which Jeremy talks about a very early step—geometric modeling—during a visit to Solidworks.
