3D Printer Features Improved Gas Flow, Melt Pool Monitoring

Trumpf’s latest generation of its TruPrint 3000 is a universal medium-format machine redesigned for higher quality and more productive, flexible 3D printing. Using powder bed-based laser melting, the 3D printer is said to fabricate parts up to 400 mm tall and 300 mm in diameter.
The company says the printer also has improved gas flow and melt pool monitoring to increase part quality results and its multiple lasers can double productivity. Developed to meet the quality and -line requirements of various industries, the TruPrint 3000 can process all weldable materials, including steel, titanium and aluminum.
