Heidenhain’s Acu-Rite brand offers a free software upgrade for its 100, 200 and 300 models of digital readouts (DROs). The upgrade is said to promote greater productivity, efficiency and ease of use. The v1.4.0 upgrade contains several features.
The letter Q has been added to the axis names list specifically at the request of customers using their DROs on optical comparators. This feature is available on all three DRO models.
A Zoom Timeout time delay has been added to the Dynamic Zoom & Highlight feature so that users can set the amount of time that the zoom or character color change stays active when an axis stops moving. If the user starts moving another axis before the delay time is reached, the delay is ignored in about a half second. This feature is available for the 200 and 300 models.
A Send Position soft key enables users to record the Screen Displayed and send the data via USB cable to a computer program of their choice. Heidenhain offers Quadra-Chek Wedge software to this end. This feature is available for the 200 and 300 models.
