Designed for smooth cutting operations at high feed rates, the Mini Spiral Mill-Thread series from Carmex Precision Tools is now available in inch sizes as well as metric. Featuring an internal coolant bore, the spiral-fluted toolholders hold one to three inserts. The spiral design is said to reduce vibrations and chatter, resulting in a high-quality surface finish. They are available in small cutting diameters.
“The popularity of the Mini Spiral Mill-Thread line in metric dimensions has created a demand for offering the line in inch sizes,” says Jim White, national sales manager. “The variety of sizes and the availability of the MT7 sub-micron grade with multi-layer TiAIN coating offer customers a range of choices and the assurance of longer tool life.”
