SPI Lasers offers the redPower 500-W M2<1.1 and M2~7.5 lasers capable of both cutting and welding applications. The two lasers feature Ethernet connectivity, a range of collimated and divergent beam diameter outputs, back reflection tolerance, and long output fibers.
The M2<1.1 is designed for high speed cutting with speeds exceeding 30 m/min. The laser is capable of cutting mild steel as thick as 6 mm with its single-moded beam quality, and is said to maintain beam quality even at increased power with improved depth of field.
The M2~7.5 laser spreads energy across a flatter top than the sharp Gaussian beam profile and gives a wider cut kerf so that gas flow can be maintained on thicker materials. This laser is said to increase cutting speeds on stainless steel thicker than 1.5 mm.
