Designed to ease punch and die maintenance, Mate’s ValuGrind high-precision grinder enables fabricators to regrind punches and dies to optimum condition for high-quality parts production. The completely fixtured grinder is available for either thick-turret or Trumpf-style tooling.
 
The machine features a 165-mm-diameter diamond grinding wheel for finishing operations. An inner wheel-cooling system places coolant directly where needed, reducing excessive heat build-up that can damage the tooling, the company says. A 1,050-W, 4,050-rpm motor delivers high speed, precise surface finish, the company says. To avoid over-grinding, depth control can be set in 0.02-mm increments. Also, a compact, portable tabletop (820 × 520 × 675 mm) is designed for limited space.
 
The grinder accommodates the company’s thick-turret tooling styles, including Original; AMX; MT; MTG; MTG Long; MXC; Ultra; and all A- through E-station sizes, as well as common thick-turret tooling of equivalent sizes. The grinder also accommodates all Size 1 and Size 2 Trumpf-style tooling products, including Next, QuickLock and Multi Tool tooling, as well as common Trumpf-style tooling of equivalent sizes.
