Leaders-In background

Sodick’s TT1-400A high speed machining center is designed for precise milling of graphite and copper electrodes. The machine features a linear motor drive platform said to limit backlash and increase cutting speed. The LN3X controller helps to maximize the speed of the linear motor drives and includes new features said to simplify work setup.

X-, Y- and Z-axis travels measure 15.75" × 9.84" × 11.81" (400 × 250 × 300 mm). Maximum spindle speed is 40,000 rpm, with a maximum acceleration of 1.2 G. Standard features include Heidenhain glass scales, Blum laser tool measurement, an integrated Torit graphite dust collector, air-purged dust protection, an oil mist system with mist collector, and an integrated part probe.
