IMCO Carbide Tool’s Pow-R-Feed M934 four-flute end mills are designed to cut aggressive tool paths in a wide range of materials, including all types of steel, titanium, plastics, brass, bronze and aluminum.
According to the company, while M934 cutters can handle any operation that legacy four-flute mills can, they also can perform the extremely aggressive cuts and complex moves legacy four-flute cutters can’t. Also effective in high-efficiency milling tool paths, M934 cutters are said to provide smooth, clog-free operation in three- to five-axis machines.
Pow-R-Feed M934 cutters feature core carbide that provides fine cutting edges with optimal strength, plus a wiper flat end for smooth floor finishes. All edges said to be are prepped for a long tool life.
Matt Osburn, vice president, technical director for IMCO, says, “These new M934 cutters not only prevent chip clogging, which cuts a lot of downtime; they’re far superior to other four-flutes at ramping and helical entry; they’re incredibly versatile at performing any operation for a four-fluter; and they get higher performance from machining centers to maximize output, regardless of horsepower.”
Steve Avers, IMCO’s technical support manager, adds, “One of the best things about these cutters is the free cutting action. This keeps the cutter turning at high speed and the chips flying. This design eliminates cutting-zone barriers to higher productivity, so machines can run at higher speeds, crank out more parts and produce to its upper capacity limits.”
