The OptoFlash XS30 from Marposs is a 2D optical measuring device designed to meet the requirements of the precision mechanical devices and medical implants industries, both molded plastic and machined metal. The device can measure small chamfers or grooves below 100 microns; very small changes of diameter along the part axis; through-hole diameters; runout; perpendicularity; barrel shape; profiles; and other features. The flexible gage enables the user to switch from one part type to another with one click. The Optoflash can take 100 static measurements within 2 sec. while providing ultra-high resolution for parts ranging to 30 mm in length and 20 mm in diameter.
Measuring 610 × 545 × 400 mm, the OptoFlash XS30 is compact enough to be integrated into the production environment as well as a lab. It allows for either manual or robotic loading as well as dynamic or static measurement.
Featuring an intuitive user interface, the control archives all measurements for retrieval using a smart search function. The monitor is attached to a flexible arm that can be installed on either side of the system. An integrated USB hub with seven ports provides connection to printers, code readers or external memory. An Ethernet port is also included.
