Milacron Fluid Technologies’ Cimcool brand offers its Cimpulse 51MP, 45MP and 33MP multifunctional fluids that are intended to enable machine shops to use just one metalworking fluid. These fluids have been formulated for use in both high-pressure systems and standard flood applications, using a hybrid blend of lubricants to deliver high mix stability and reduced tool wear as well as provide long sump life.
Cimpulse 51MP, for example, is a multi-purpose, non-chlorinated, triazine-free fluid that provides high-pressure foam and corrosion control. It keeps machines and parts clean and provides emulsion stability, long sump life and good bio-control, according to Milacron. The formula is said to deliver improved cutting forces, grinding ratios and lower foaming in high-pressure foam tests.
