OSG’s ExoPro UVX-Ni features a variable helix and variable index design to reduce vibration, along with a flute form engineered to facilitate chip shaping and evacuation. Its cutting edge geometry further reduces cutting heat and forces, allowing it to achieve stable performance in difficult-to-machine materials such as Inconel 718, the company claims. A hooked flute form effectively curls and evacuates chips in applications ranging from side milling to slotting. The tool’s core strength provides resistance to deflection, while corner protection enhances tool life by strengthening the corner edge.
