Mazak’s Integrex e-1060V/8 II multitasking center provides full turning and milling capabilities. The milling spindle tilts to 150 degrees for both horizontal and vertical machining operations, including angle boring and milling on multiple faces. Full, simultaneous five-axis cutting reduces throughput time for large, complex parts, the company says.
The headstock features a 50-hp, 10,000-rpm milling spindle for full five-axis machining on the B-axis with 150-degree (-30 to +120 degree) rotation for vertical, horizontal and angular cutting. Also running at 50 hp, the machine’s turning spindle operates at a maximum speed of 500 rpm.
The multitasking center is said to deliver high accuracies on turned, angled and sculptured part characteristics, inside and out, often without moving the workpiece after its initial clamping to accommodate various workpiece materials, shapes and sizes. The machine offers six different workholding pallets. A square or round pallet or chuck can be expanded to a Mazak Palletech system. With the 39.3" square pallet, the machine accommodates workpieces as large as 49.2" in diameter and 49.2" in height and 5,950 lbs. Axis travels are 73.8" × 41.7" × 52.9" on the X, Y and Z axes, with rapid traverse rates of 1,653 ipm. The C axis rotates in 0.0001-degree increments.
