Global Shop Solutions’ RFID (radio frequency identification) technology contributes to shop floor productivity by simplifying time, attendance and inventory processes.
The technology consolidates management of building entry, logging on and off jobs, and visual identification into one process. Using a single RFID card, employees can gain entry at the front door, clock into jobs and present visual identification for authorization requirements.
The technology is said to reduce the need for biometric scanners, barcoded employee lists and separate ID badges. This eases ERP system access, speeds up employee logins and reduces human error, according to the company.
