Seco’s 335.25 disc milling cutter is designed for 1" (25 mm) widths of cut and features a coated and hardened cutter body for increased tool life, reliability and accuracy. It also is available with integrated coolant holes. Inserts developed for the cutter feature positive-geometry edge preparation to reduce cutting forces and improve chip flow, while a built-in wiper flat maximizes surface finish. A full range of insert geometries and grades are designed to ensure productive application in a range of materials, the company says. The tool is designed for versatility and is a flexible option for wind-power manufacturers.
