CAMplete TurnMill version 6.0 from Methods Machine Tools features upgrades for expanded macro language support, improved error handling and increased post-processing capabilities. The integrated suite of G-code editing, optimization, analysis and verification tools is designed for Nakamura-Tome multitasking turning centers and enables a range of turn/mill functions. According to the company, the software combines CAM-system and hand-coded G code into programs that can be simulated, fine-tuned and optimized using detailed 3D Nakamura machine models.
 
Version 6.0 offers added support for FANUC’s Macro B language, including G# and M# calls, G65 macro calls, and sub-program calls, among others. Users can create custom macros for insertion into G-code or formatted programs. Post-processing support is now compatible with Mastercam CAD/CAM software support from NCI files; with Open Mind’s hyperMILL post-processing from POF files; and with Delcam’s PowerMILL CAM software for milling from CUT files for 3+2 milling, five-axis milling and canned cycles.
 
Additional upgrades include stock creation for the main and subspindle, as well as new material removal simulation. An enhanced simulation progress display shows nested program cells, and added regeneration controls show the active program and current location with the line number within the program. The software offers 64-bit support to accommodate larger programs and provide improved performance.
