Carl Zeiss offers the fifth generation of VAST contact scanning systems with the VAST Performance Kit, which is available as an option for Prismo, CenterMax and GageMax CMMs. The kit incorporates various elements of optimized hardware and software to increase measurement performance, provide reliable results and reduce measuring times.
 
Features include high speed active probes that improve productivity as well as FlyScan technology, which enables scanning features with interrupted contours. FlyScan reduces measuring time by reducing the number of scanning paths.
 
Productive measuring requires the ability to quickly adapt to different jobs. While CNC-guided stylus change on CMMS enables measuring different features at different positions, complex programs often require several stylus changes. The kit’s QuickChange feature improves productivity by reducing the time taken to change a stylus.
