Advent Tool and Manufacturing introduces its GT-series tooling, a line of replaceable inserts and holders for thread milling. A five-axis continuous-duty test with ductile iron is said to have yielded a final thread mill count of 19,200 holes of various sizes and positions.
The GT tool features a three-point Insert Secure System within the tool body that reduces potential chatter or insert loosening when harmonics are a concern. Additional cooling capabilities come standard with the tool, providing both peripheral and through-coolant capabilities for chip evacuation.
The company credits the tool’s consistent test results to extensive engineering analysis, creating reliable design expectations for multiple applications.
