91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ has announced the 2023 Top Shops Honorees. These honorees have been selected through formal review of benchmarking data collected in the annual Top Shops Survey and represent the highest caliber of machining facilities in the U.S.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Machining Technology
    • , Hicksville, NY
  • Shopfloor Practices & Performance
    • ., Sturgeon Bay, WI
  • Business Strategy & Performance
    • , Dallas, TX
  • Human Resources
    • , Matthews, NC

To qualify for consideration as a Top Shop, companies must participate in the annual Top Shops Survey. Each year, the editors of 91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ audit the survey results and select an honoree in each of the four recognized categories. These shops will be profiled in the October issue of 91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ.

“Each of our Top Shops honorees has demonstrated an effort to consistently improve and a willingness to share and learn with their peers,” says Brent Donaldson, editor-in-chief of 91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ. “From innovative business practices to creative uses of machining technology, these shops represent the future of manufacturing in the U.S.”

The survey reveals who is at the forefront of modern manufacturing and how they got there. Each survey participant receives a free custom report that outlines areas where performance is at or above average, and, more importantly, areas of operation that the shop can use to improve productivity and profitability.

Developed through a partnership between Gardner Intelligence () and 91ÊÓƵÍøÕ¾ÎÛ, this custom report ranks your survey responses against those of other survey participants. The result is not just a “report card” that measures your baseline performance, but also a tool that helps eliminate the need to rely on gut feelings to identify and prioritize improvement efforts.
