The third Automated Shop Conference (TASC) takes place August 12-13, 2025 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis. This two-day conference is designed to help job shops share automation strategies in a bid to bolster the strength of U.S. manufacturing. Attendees will return home from the conference with information about how to implement the latest automation technologies and techniques, wherever their shop is on their automation journey. Three key attributes of the show work toward this goal.
Presentations by Job Shops, for Job Shops
Most of the planned speakers for TASC 2025 will be representatives of job shops themselves. They have proved out their strategies with real parts and real jobs from a variety of markets. They have discovered how to implement automation in ways that work for their shops, their employees and their budgets. And all of them will be open to questions to help your shop do the same.
Applications to speak at TASC 2025 are open through February 28th. Speakers will gain complimentary admission to the conference, one half-price conference registration for a guest, customized social medial graphics to promote the presentation and more. Find more information .
Major Tour of Major Tool
TASC attendees will also be able to tour Major Tool & Machine, a local contract manufacturer and the 2024 Top Shops Honoree in Shopfloor Practices & Performance. This highly automated shop boasts a 650,000-square-foot facility equipped with a custom ERP system, multiple flexible manufacturing cells and state-of-the-art CNC milling and turning machines able to machine parts with sizes from six inches to 90 feet.
Over the course of four hours, attendees will have shopfloor access to several of Major Tool’s production departments, as well as speak with shop leaders who can speak to how the shop is thriving in various high-requirement markets.
Focus on the Job Shop
Several automation OEMs will be present at TASC, but largely as purveyors of automation technology rather than speakers. As a technical conference rather than a larger trade show, job shop leaders will have the attention of tech providers who are eager to learn about the needs and requirements of today’s job shops. Attendees will be also be able to network with their peers and “talk shop” over the course of the conference.
