Coordinate Metrology Society to Host 30th Annual Conference

The 30th annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) has been scheduled for July 21 to 25 in North Charleston, S.C. Organized by the Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS), the event is designed for those who use portable, high-precision measurement technology to inspect manufactured and assembled components on the factory floor. In conjunction with the announcement, CMS has released a call for appears to be presented at the conference. Abstracts are due on March 14.

In other news, the society has released the results of a study conducted at the 29th CMSC, held in San Diego, Calif., in 2013. The large-scale study, done through the participation of conference attendees over a two-day period, examined how decisions made during and after measurement affect the final measurement result. Titled “Non-Contact Scanning: How Data is Affected by the Decisions We Make,” the report is available for CMS members.
