Abtex’s Hex Drive abrasive filament tools are designed for use in semi-automatic and fully automatic machinery, including CNC and in-machine deburring stations, as well as robotic machine tools. The abrasive filaments are constructed of heat-stabilized nylon co-extruded with an abrasive grit and mounted to a resin backing. The drive brushes are also available with ceramic fiber. The hex-drive system holds the brush rigid on the spindle, enabling the tools to be turned in both directions for 360-degree deburring, cleaning, edge radiusing, polishing and general surface finishing. The tools are offered in 2", 3", 4" and 5" diameters with four grits. A 1/4" drive arbor is available for brushes ranging to 4" in diameter, and a 3/8" arbor is offered for 5" brushes.
