Weiler’s Burr-RX specialty brush deburring tools feature advanced ceramic-grain filament technology. The black nylon filaments are co-extruded with a ceramic abrasive grain for faster cut rates and reduced cycle times. Large- and small-diameter wheel brushes, shell-mill-holder disc brushes, power tube brushes, mini-disc brushes and banded-end brushes are available.
The brushes’ high feed rates and short dwell times enable increased throughput and lower deburring costs, the company says. The brushes can be run dry, although coolants may be needed for high speed or high-penetration deburring operations. The tools are suited for deburring well-attached burrs in tough materials such as Inconel, stainless steel and titanium, among others.
