PartMaker Inc., a division of Delcam, will demonstrate its PartMaker software for programming CNC mills, lathes, wire EDMs, turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes. PartMaker version 2015 includes CAM postprocessing for multi-axis turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes as well as the ability to generate a postprocessor reference guide, an on-command manual explaining how to program a given multi-axis lathe and take advantage of the machine’s capabilities with PartMaker. Other highlights include better support for multitasking machine tools, improved milling and turning functionality and updates in the software’s knowledge-based technology for storing optimal feeds and speeds for additional tools. PartMaker 2015 also includes specialist support for vertical turn-mill machines that combine vertical turning functionality with five-axis machining, as well as support for turret-based Swiss-type lathes with programmable B-axis live tooling attachments.
The company will also be introducing the PartMaker Multi-Channel Viewer productivity application. The free software application enables users of multi-axis turn-mill centers and Swiss-type lathes to view multi-channel NC programs side by side.
