Command Tooling System’s high-precision products are available for BT, V-flange and HSK63A and HSK100 tapers. The company says the ER16 and ER32 collet chucks are built to user specifications and offer a longer tool life and reduced setup time. The reinforced chuck body and clamping nut provide stability, and the ground trapezoidal thread ensures absolute centering of the clamping nut on the chuck, the company says. According to the company, the result is high concentricity, repeatability and runout of less than or equal to 3µ with tight production tolerances and quality surface finish.
Collet sizes for the ER16 and ER32 range from 0.125" to 0.75" (1 to 20 mm). A coolant seal is included to allow use of coolant-fed tooling and to prevent chips and swarf from entering the collet cavity.
