Tungaloy’s T515 CVD-coated grade features a substrate and coating structure that suits it to machining cast iron. The adhesion strength between the substrate and coating layer has been improved to strengthen chipping and peeling resistance as well as to promote stable, wear-resistant high-speed machining. The thickness of the alumina layer has been increased in comparison to the company’s conventional products for long tool life. In addition, Tungaloy’s PremiumTec surface technology helps to improve surface finish. The grade comes in two types: all-round and flat-top.
