Raptor Workholding’s RWP-030SS dovetail fixture is intended for milling applications on four- and five-axis CNC machines. The fixture enables access to all five sides of a workpiece, reducing waste and increasing yield in less time. The 0.75" fixture and its three clamps are manufactured from 17-4 stainless steel.
The devices uses a dovetail spring-loaded clamping system equipped with three clamps. When the clamps are tightened, the workpieces’ dovetail edge is pushed into the radius of the fixture’s solid shoulder, quickly locking it in place for high clamping strength and rigidity without distortion or clamp creep.
The system requires 1/8" of material to hold a workpiece in place. Each workpiece is prepped with a single dovetail, machined in one pass. The system’s three clamps enable it to hold one long workpiece measuring as large as 7.50" × 7.50" × 7.50", or three smaller workpieces.
