Heidenhain’s EIB 2391S encoder interface box is designed to increase encoder compatibility with Siemens controls. Suited for applications with Sinamic drive components, the interface box is said to enhance the serial interface offering for many of Heidenhain’s absolute encoders and is designed for use in safety-oriented applications.
The product enables conversion of a Heidenhain encoder’s output signal from EnDat 2.2 to DRIVE CLiQ. The interface box also offers IP 65 and a compact size, while its 8-pin M12 connection enables the user to pull the interface’s electronics box cable through even small locations. The box is capable of transmitting diagnostic information into a format recognized by Sinamics drive components.
