The T‐Carb line of six‐flute high-performance end mills from SGS is designed for aggressive high-speed machining applications using peel milling and trochoidal techniques. The six‐flute design enables machining at higher feed rates while reducing tool loads, thereby minimizing risk of breakage and failure. According to the company, the T-Carb's variable pitch geometry is suitable for multiple operations including roughing and finishing, promoting faster cycle times.
SGS offers the T-Carb line in various neck and corner radii as well as lengths. All options are available with the company's Ti-Namite-X coating to promote thermal barrier protection, better adhesion and longer tool life.
