Mazak Optonics will feature its Optiplex 3015 4-kW fiber machine paired with a Tekmag compact FMS for increased productivity in cutting thin worksheets. Designed to process reflective materials, the laser can cut stainless steel as thick as 0.750" and aluminum as thick as 0.625". The fiber design is said to reduce operating costs for these material types and thicknesses.
The machine also uses the company’s PreView CNC, which features a user-friendly 15" touchscreen control and automatically determines the required processing conditions for the material prior to cutting. The machine is said to reduce power consumption compared to conventional laser processing.
The company will also showcase the Optiplex CO2 laser cutting system and premier its Tube Gear 150 CO2 2D for high speed tube and pipe cutting.
