The CncGcoder is a PDA-like handheld tool for backing up, editing and transferring CNC machine tool G-code programs. According to manufacturer RBR Machine Tools, the portable unit is compatible with virtually all CNC controls and allows fast access to G-code programs to keep production running when network systems fail and IT departments are overloaded. By using the built-in program display and editing function, users can verify G-code program accuracy and make changes from the shop floor. The software within the unit is always running to allow immediate availability once the unit is turned on. To protect G-code programs, the unit is equipped with flash memory and is not vulnerable to viruses or electronic noise in industrial environments, the company says.
