Operators can transmit short text messages such as “machine down” or “tooling needed” to notify other departments or supervisors of issues relating to their machines or jobs. The message is displayed on all PCs running a compatible software package such as e-DNC Explorer.
When linked to a local area network (LAN), hubs distributed throughout the shop floor are accessible to any connected PCs.
