Available from Greco Systems, the DNC Hub is equipped with text messaging, which is an enhanced feature of remote call. Operators can transmit short text messages such as “machine down” or “tooling needed” to notify other departments or supervisors of issues relating to their machines or jobs. The message is displayed on all PCs running a compatible software package such as e-DNC Explorer.
When linked to a local area network (LAN), hubs distributed throughout the shop floor are accessible to any connected PCs. This enables users to perform administrative functions from a remote location. Users can invoke DNC communications, obtain real-time status information on machines and review text messages transmitted by machine operators.
