Gibbs and Associates offers its GibbsCAM MTM solutions designed to enhance productivity by allowing multitasking machines to execute multiple operations in a single setup. The software fully supports all the functions available on standard multitasking machines and Swiss-type lathes. This includes subspindles, live tooling, turret synchronization and full four- and five-axis simultaneous machining through its standard programming features and more than 750 MTM postprocessors. The software also includes cut part rendering, an integrated toolpath verification module. Tool paths generated with the software can also be simulated with GibbsCAM Machine Simulation for visual verification and collision detection and avoidance.
In addition, the company will demonstrate the 64-bit architecture of GibbsCAM. This version enables users to work with much larger files and to achieve faster and more accurate results with certain graphic, toolpath generation and postprocessing functions. It is said to provide higher efficiency and accuracy in evaluating machining operations with toolpath rendering and machine simulation, and provide full compatibility with 64-bit CAD systems, such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge and Autodesk Inventor.
