Developed to complement insert grade GC1125, Sandvik Coromant’s grade GC1135 is available for threading operations. Both grades offer good function in ISO materials, but each has its own specialty. GC1125 is suited for threading steel, cast iron and aluminum, while GC1135 is suited for stainless steel, super alloys and profiles requiring sharp cutting edges.
Additionally, both grades are available in a 16-mm insert for CoroThread 266. The 3/8" (16-mm) insert is suitable for general threading applications and benefits from the iLock interface, which provides secure insert clamping. Stability improves threading performance with greater precision and fewer passes.
