Waterjet manufacturer Jet Edge, along with Tecnocut S.p.A., offer the energy-efficient Ecube 6200 servo-driven, intelligent waterjet pump. The electrically controlled, servo-driven intelligent pump uses less electricity and fewer components than a common hydraulic waterjet intensifier pump, the company says. Depending on the application, the 90,000-psi (6,200-bar) unit cuts as much as 50 percent faster and reduces garnet consumption by as much as 50 percent compared to 60,000-psi waterjet pumps, the company says. The pump has a flow rate of 0.7 gpm (2.61 lpm) and supports waterjet orifices measuring 0.011" (0.28 mm).
