Hainbuch offers two new jaw modules for its compact modular clamping system. Featuring a Spanntop chuck combined with a jaw module, the workholding system is designed to be a multitasking solution for ID, OD and jaw clamping. The new jaw modules are specifically designed for clamping small workpieces with the system. The 144 jaw size offers a clamping range of 25 to 115 mm, while the 215 jaw module offers a range of 25 to 200 mm.
The system is designed to cover a large clamping range, and its setup is said to be fast, flexible and repeatable. The system minimizes interference contour while promoting optimized utilization of the jaws. According to the company, the jaw modules can be changed over within 30 sec. The device can be equipped with clamping heads and mandrels for greater flexibility and rigid workpiece clamping. The system can serve as a pick-up chuck on subspindles and is also well-suited for stationary use. It is said to be easy to maintain and resistant to contamination due to the guideway seal.
