The Keyence MD-F5100 series three-axis fiber laser marker features a compact and fanless design. An IP64 rating on the head unit enables use in demanding manufacturing environments, as the internal components of the marking head are not affected by hazardous elements such as dirt, dust, water and oil mist. The laser’s high-power 50-W output ensures high-speed marking and deep engraving on a variety of metal and plastic targets. The wobble function reduces marking times for distinct black characters on metal without swelling or cracking.
According to the company, the laser marker’s wide-area three-axis technology enables consistent marking quality on 3D surfaces and the far edges of the 300 × 300 mm marking field. Three-axis programming can flexibly support multiple product types being marked on the same production line. The optimum laser scanning control can be selected to match each application.
