Leaders-In background

Mazak Optonics Corporation’s SuperTurbo-X Mark III 2D laser cutting system is designed to cut a variety of materials and thicknesses. Utilizing the company’s hybrid platform, the system features a custom vibration-damping frame and integrated laser resonator for stable, high-accuracy cutting. According to the company, the constant-beam-length construction provides uniform cutting at any location on the machine table, virtually eliminating beam divergence.

The system features intelligent setup functions for automated nozzle spatter removal; a three-station nozzle changer; and focal point measurement and adjustment capability. These features minimize setup time and improve extended unattended operation while maintaining optimized machining conditions, the company says. The system also incorporates a Servo Focus Torch. This servo-driven system reduces piercing time and increases productivity. Additional features include a high-accuracy auto centering lens and nozzle design that further reduces setup and increases productivity.

Tables are available in 4 × 8 ft., 5 × 10 ft. and 6 × 12 ft. configurations with 2,500 (0.87" CRS) or 4,000 or (1" CRS) watts. A range of automated material handling systems are available in load/unload cells and flexible manufacturing systems.
