Flow International Corporation, a leading manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure waterjet cutting systems, has released the MotoJet X, its optimized intensifier pump technology. The MotoJet X features technology advancements focused on maximizing customer uptime, improving usability and nearly eliminating hands-on customer maintenance.
The MotoJet X operates at 60,000 psi with both 30 hp and 50 hp options. It is compatible across the entire Flow Mach Series of waterjet solutions. It features quiet operation with a sound deadening design. The pump is configured with easy access points, including quick-remove side panels, an air-assisted lid and an automatic interior light. It has a status light built directly into the lid handle for quick visibility to the operating status of the pump. It comes IoT enabled and smart connection ready.
The pump is designed to be a full-service solution. According to Flow, its trained technical service team will conduct all maintenance at needed intervals. This program is meant to keep customers up and running with minimal effort on their part, enabling them to focus their attention and resources on other areas of their business.
Tim Fabian, vice president of marketing and product management at Flow, notes the investment of the engineering team into this technology. According to Fabian, the intensifier pump comes with a 95% uptime guarantee. The comprehensive services Flow provides are said to be new to the waterjet industry, but Fabian says its service package makes a difference in customer businesses. It is available for test cuts, on-site visits and virtual showings at Flow’s Customer Technology Center in Kent, Wash.
