Low-Profile Rotary Table
The GD210LP low-profile rotary table from Hardinge is said to feature rigidity, speed, accuracy and repeatability. Large diameter bearings and a fail-safe clamping system provide high stiffness and high rigidity for parts weighing as much as 220 lbs. The table uses 233 foot-pounds (315 Nm) of clamping torque to handle off-center drilling, cross-axis milling and other high-force cutting applications.

The system’s fast clamp and release reduces cycle time. The company’s hardened and ground steel cross-axis helical gear provides long life and continued accuracy, the company says.
The table has a 210-mm slotted face plate that is precision ground and features a rapid table rotation of up to 40 rpm. The face plate can be removed to mount a manual jaw chuck directly to the A2-5 spindle for ease of gripping round parts. The rotary table can be operated as a stand-alone unit (horizontal or vertical) with a servo control or as a true fourth axis direct connected to the machine. The low-profile footprint occupies minimal space on the table allowing vises or other fixtures to remain in place for other jobs. This reduces setup and teardown.
