Mazak says its Syncrex Swiss-Style series is designed for higher volume, small precision-machined parts, providing superior surface finishes, fast processing and high-accuracy tight tolerances. The series comes in four bar capacities, ranging from 20 to 38 mm. The machines are also available in seven-, eight- and nine-axis configurations as well as a nine-axis model with full B-axis contouring is also available.
The machines feature Mazatrol SmoothSt CNC Control for fast, easy job setups. They also include the Mazak Swiss Setup Assist (MSSA) and Mazak Dynamic Chip Control (MDCC) features which are said to help reduce setup times and part production.
Other features include a spline-connected sliding head spindle for greater accuracy and less material waste, as well as a removable guide bushing adapter which enables operators to preset guide bushing outside the machine. An Auto Tool Setter in the machine is said to reduce setup time, while an HDCC machine base offers increased machine stability and rigidity.
The machines feature a 15″ touch panel with full mechanical keyboard, while a spline-connected sliding head spindle heightens accuracy and reduces material waste. The series also features a High Damping Composite Casting (HDCC) base for proving better rigidity, less thermal distortion, longer tool life and better surface finishes.
