Planit Solutions’ EdgeCAM 2009 R1 is the latest version of the company’s CAM software. New programming and usability features include an improved rest finishing cycle that supports virtually all tool types, providing more flexible cycles, an optimized tool path and faster cycle generation. An advanced rough-turning cycle provides increased efficiencies and improved control of the machining process including notch avoidance. Expanded five-axis capabilities include nutated head/rotary table configurations. Five-axis cycles now check linear limits to alert users if the selected machine is unable to produce a specific feature.
