Tool teach facilities allow Expert Premium systems to intelligently learn a user’s tooling and profiling preferences so further parameters can be applied, such as the ability to allow or deny part mirroring or rotation. Virtually all subsequent parts that require the saved tooling style can then be processed automatically, saving time and reducing the possibility of error, the company says.
Automation from different CAD systems has been enhanced, with import filters added for SolidEdge, SolidWorks and Autopol. When used in conjunction with the company’s automated features, such as Single Component Automatic Processing (SCAP), complete directories of CAD files can be imported, tooled, nested and NC code can be generated.
The finishing cut sequence features include separate horizontal and vertical settings for start corner and direction. Other features include Web nesting, machine-specific features and support for several new machines.
