Oelheld’s DiaMill HEF 1100 is a high-performance cutting oil suitable for use as an alternative to water-soluble cooling lubricants for turning, milling, drilling, hobbing and cutting operations in CNC machining centers. The oil is designed for use with high-alloyed steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, and can be used for automotive and gear manufacturing applications.
According to the company, the oil has nearly no odor, offers high shearing stability, is resistant to aging, and is physiologically safe with no aromatic content. The product does not contain chlorine or any heavy metals, and has a low tendency towards vaporization and misting for better safety during use.
The DiaMill HEF 110 cutting oil offers a viscosity/temperature relationship said to maximize flushing and cooling properties over a wide temperature range. According to Oelheld, the product is not aggressive towards varnishes and elastomers and offers a high flashpoint greater than 302°F (150°C), even with low viscosity. High-performance additives in combination with interfacial active substances enable high cutting speeds and quality surface finishes. In addition, the oil prevents the formation of a built-up cutting edge, increasing tool life.
