The updated version of Reamtec’s EasyZero runout compensation nuts, available from Monaghan Tooling, enables operators to dial in runout at a precision of 0.002" (0.050 mm) to correct runout errors and misalignment for all round tools using ER collets.
Six adjustment screws enable more accurate machining, leading to tighter tolerances and better surface finishes, according to Monaghan. Controlling runout also reduces time spent tapping and resetting tools and collets to avoid scrap and out-of-tolerance parts.
Five sizes of Reamtec’s EasyZero compensation nuts fit ER16 to ER40 collets. Four different kits include a hex key, spanner and ER collet.
