Walter USA’s DC150 Perform 5×Dc is designed to be a versatile and cost-effective solid carbide drill that can be used with all materials and with a broad range of workpieces. The drill, a part of the DC150 Perform Line, can be used for small and medium batch sizes. It is said to offer high precision and process reliability.
The DC150 Perform 5×Dc is designed to be used without internal coolant. It offers wear resistance and effective chip evacuation along with geometry which includes a 140-degree point angle for positioning accuracy.
Until now, the DC150 Perform line included length-to-diameter ratios of 3, 5, 8, and 12×Dc, all with internal coolant capability. The 5×Dc drill for use with external coolant complements the existing 3×Dc offering for external coolant, the company says.
