The Spot-Dex line of indexable spot drilling and chamfering tools is suitable for various workpiece materials. The tools use industry-standard DPMT- and TPMT- style inserts that are modified to clear and avoid heeling at small diameters, the company says. The tools are available in angles ranging from 60 degrees to 120 degrees. Also on display are the Dexi-Dovetails, which the company initially designed for machining the flutes on its own alloy steel tool bodies but are now being offered to the general market. The dovetails use specially designed inserts to machine both ferrous and non-ferrous part materials. They are available in included ranging from 30 degrees to 90 degrees.
