Thinbit, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Company Inc., has expanded offerings to include square angled toolholders. Designed for CNC and conventional machines, the toolholders position the insert at 30°, 45° or 60° angles for reliefs, undercuts and angled OD and face grooves. Square shank sizes are available in 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1".
The square angled toolholders are for use with Thinbit inserts in grades for ferrous and nonferrous materials. Inserts are available in sizes ranging from 0.004" to 0.150" in 0.001" increments, and uncoated or coated with TiN, TiAlN, TiCN or diamond film.
As with all of the company’s tooling, modifications can be provided, according to Thinbit. Due to the potential complexity of configuring these toolholders, the company recommends calling 888-thinbit for assistance. Find additional information at .
