Swiss Tools for Micro Grooving, Turning
Designed for micro turning and grooving applications in Swiss-type machines, the Multidec 1600 series tools use inserts ranging from 0.0019" to 0.108" thick with cutting edge repeatability of 0.004".

The tools are available in a variety of coatings and with shanks as small as 7 mm to suit the smallest Swiss machines. Geometries are available for front turn, back turn, micro-threading and cutoff work, as well as “full radius” grooving and turning in standard increments. According to the company, the tools can be combined with special ID working holders to handle axial (face) grooving and ID work on larger parts.
