The Synchro tap series from Sutton Tools is specifically designed for machines in which the spindle revolution (A axis) and feed movement (Z axis) are synchronously controlled. The series is said to work in unison with the accurate pitch controlling capabilities of modern machine tools. This compatibility reduces cycle time and extends tool life. Speed can be increased to 100 m/min.

Designed for rigid tapping, the series features optimized coatings, H6 shank tolerances, and super-smooth flute and thread finish. An internal-coolant design is also available. According to the company, the taps provide production reliability and safety, optimized thread quality and precise thread depths. The taps range in metric coarse sizes from M2 to M20.
