Drake Manufacturing’s GS:DS dual-spindle thread grinder expands the company’s line of thread grinders and milling machines. Depending on the application, the machine can be equipped with two external grind spindles, two internal grind spindles or one of each. This flexibility is meant to eliminate change-over and reduce takt time while maintaining tight tolerances. A programmable B axis enables the wheel to grind both straight and taper sections in one setup for high concentricity.
